Okay, so tonight I did a thing and A GOOD THING HAPPENED.

My best friend Saras is going to Berlin tomorrow, and due to some circumstances, she ended up working the closing shift tonight. Being a bit nervous about the whole ordeal, she asked me to come hang out with her while she closed. As I was in my jammies watching Buffy and eating tacos (as one does on a Saturday night) I naturally declined (kindly, but with swear-words) and decided to stay home.

After an hour or so, I though, “Hey, WHY NOT? I mean, I’ve already watched four episodes today, surely going in to see Saras before she leaves would be wonderful.” So I went. I spent an hour traveling to see her, but you know it was all worth it when she almost started crying when she saw me.

BUT THAT IS NOT THE STORY, PEOPLE.

So I hung out there for an hour, spending the brief moment when there were no customers in the store by dancing to Saras’ hilarious playlists. When it is time to close, Saras instructs me to go down in the basement and turn off the lights.

Perhaps I should also say that this is the store which I grew up in. It was the one right next to us, and I could not even begin to count all the time I followed day into the basement to look around and play some silly imaginary games.

Being the snoopy me, I of course choose to look around, and suddenly I see something on a shelf. We’re talking an old, dusty shelf which is over a million old VHS tapes which really have not seen the light of day since they were released. It was, dear friends, A NINTENTO 64. Being the strange nerd that I am, I started screaming, which of course caused Saras to believe I was being killed by some strange creature living in the basements of old video-stores, or possibly being crushed by the previously mentioned VHS tapes.

I then took up my phone, and despite being in the basement, I called my dad who is currently in the north of Sweden celebrating my brother’s team winning the Swedish Championship in floor-ball. (This is an entirely different story, and depending on how you roll, not as interesting as the one I am trying to tell now.) (Perhaps I should mention that this is all taking place at 11.30 PM.)

Dad picked up, and I beging, excitedly, asking him “Dad, if I happen to be in this video-store in the basement, and I happen to see a Nintendo 64 sitting on the shelf, CAN I TAKE IT?” Dad was of course a little bit confused, but after I explain the situation through my excitement, said YES.

So this was my story. Of course I need to buy the controls, and I also need to buy a scart-cord, because it was missing, BUT I FINALLY HAVE A NINTENDO 64 IN MY LFE AGAIN. Goodness gracious. I am so happy.

End of the story. I hope you liked it. I’m going to watch some more Buffy nao.
